MITM

A user-configurable tool. The GUI lets the operator set capacity, device type, identity, volume label, GUID, and SMART values at runtime, then writes a runtime profile during Attach. No firmware rebuild is needed for each identity.

fixed identity firmware

Legacy firmware

Includes AHCI, NVMe, HDAC, and similar legacy firmware paths. Identity values are baked in when the firmware is generated; after flashing, that identity is fixed. Changing model, serial, or other identity fields requires generating firmware again.
